In between the first and second project week (4 weeks), the team leaders are required to send an email to the lecturer with a listing of all tasks they feel responsible for and would start to work on the following two project weeks. The lecturer would review all tasks and would ask for help if some tasks were not applied to teams yet. Further, all High School teacher would be informed about the topic of the upcoming contest via a new created web-site to get the children excited. The second project week brings in general the following tasks to be done: Create a pdf-drawing of the canvas for the parcour which has to go into printing at the end of the week in order to be delivered on time for the contest Fix and build the settings of the parcour Find sponsors who would support the contest with money or food Work on the scores for each single task and discuss rules Start implementing an algorithm for calculating the scores to find winners Work out a schedule for the two days of the contest Find a caterer for food Do calculation of money all the time: fees and sponsor money against cost for preparation of the contest.

At the end of this week all team members have to send an email to the lecturer giving some feedback, as so: what did I do last week, what did this to me, am I happy with it or would I do things differently the next time. More Info

PRIMARY SCHOOLS USING MUCH MORE OF THEIR BUDGETs - Best SChool Kumbakonam Best matriculation girls schools in Kumbakonam Primary schools are using their budgets much more. Last year the school boards had 5.9 million euros of their budgets left over at the end of the year. In 2017 it was just over 106 million euros, Trouw reports based on figures from education executive agency DUO. Schools' tendency to not use their complete budget led to criticism last year. Ministers Ingrid van Engelshoven of Education, Culture and Science and Arie Slob for Primary- and Secondary Education called the left-over amount remarkable, given the fact that the education sector was demanding extra money to lower teachers' workloads. "Saving must not become a goal in itself", the Ministers wrote in a letter to parliament. "After all, it involves money intended for education." The Education Inspectorate wrote a report stating that school boards are far too conser...
